Dama Konut is a residential project of 24 homes with a construction area of 4,240 m², located in the Yıldırım Beyazıt neighbourhood of Melikgazi. It was completed in 2010 and the apartments are planned as 3+1 units. The project was realised under the Dama Design Company.
The scale of 24 homes was the decision that defined Dama's character: a living environment where residents know one another and a sense of neighbourliness is preserved. The 3+1 apartments were designed as spacious, practical spaces with attention to their relationship with daylight. Its location close to the city allows daily life to flow in connection with the centre.
2010 marks the beginning of İkon GYO's corporate history. Dama Konut is one of the projects of that period and remains in use today. When assessing a construction company, the most meaningful measure is not its newest project but the current condition of its oldest one; the state of a building more than fifteen years on says more about that company's choices of material and workmanship than any brochure.
The project was conceived with an elegant architectural language and careful detailing; the comfort of daily life was addressed through a design approach free of ostentation.
