Fonart AGÜV Okul is a 13,240 m² educational campus consisting of a secondary school and a kindergarten, located in the Tavlusun neighbourhood of Melikgazi. The project was carried out within Fonart Gayrimenkul Yapı A.Ş. as a completion works project — that is, the finishing of a building left unfinished — and was handed over in 2020.
The campus was conceived to offer bright, spacious spaces where children can learn and develop safely. Priorities in educational buildings differ from those in housing: daylight and ventilation, safe circulation, materials that withstand intensive use and generous open space. The functional arrangement of the project, its large garden and its durable structure were planned as a long-lasting answer to those needs.
Completion works are technically more demanding than building from scratch: the condition of the existing structure must be assessed, the quality of finished work inspected, and new work adapted to that existing state. Taking on and delivering such a project demonstrates not only a company's construction capability but its technical assessment and problem-solving capacity. AGÜV Okul is the project in İkon GYO's portfolio that represents this competence.
